Description

A warm and comforting banana cobbler with caramelized bananas under a crisp, buttery topping that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • Whipped cream or ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced bananas and brown sugar, and let sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix together flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter until crumbly.
  4. Spread the banana mixture evenly in a 9-inch square baking dish.
  5. Pour milk over the banana mixture.
  6. Sprinkle the flour mixture on top of the bananas.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

For best results, use ripe bananas and allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.
