Description

A deliciously sweet and creamy spread made from apples and caramel, perfect for toast, pancakes, or as a filling for desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups of diced apples
  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 packet of fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and dicing them into small pieces.
  2. In a large pot, combine the diced apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft and the mixture starts to bubble.
  4. Add the caramel sauce and stir until well combined.
  5. Stir in the fruit pectin and bring the mixture to a rolling boil for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before transferring to sterilized jars.
  7. Seal the jars and let them cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For a smoother texture, blend the mixture before transferring to jars.
  • This jam can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar based on the sweetness of the apples used.
