Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide it into small balls.
  6. Flatten each ball, place a tablespoon of cheese in the center, and seal the edges.
  7. Place the stuffed buns on a baking sheet and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
