Description

A classic Chinese dish featuring tender beef and crisp broccoli in a savory sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add marinated beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add broccoli florets and beef broth, stir well.
  6. Cover and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until broccoli is tender.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with steamed rice for a complete meal.
