- 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup orange juice
- zest of 1 orange
- 8 ounces dark chocolate, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter and press into the bottom of a springform pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add vanilla extract, eggs, sour cream, orange juice, and orange zest, mixing until well combined.
- Stir in the melted dark chocolate until fully incorporated.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
- For a stronger orange flavor, add more orange zest.
- Serve with whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish.
- This cheesecake can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
