Delicious cinnamon rolls inspired by the Cookie Monster, featuring a sweet blue frosting and cookie dough pieces.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup cookie dough pieces
- 1 cup blue frosting
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add flour and knead until a soft dough forms.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread with butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
- Sprinkle cookie dough pieces over the cinnamon mixture.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Once cooled, drizzle with blue frosting before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brown butter instead of regular melted butter.
- Feel free to add chocolate chips for extra sweetness.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
