- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) green beans, drained
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and crispy fried onions.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a healthier version, you can use lean ground turkey instead of beef.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or peas for extra flavor.
- This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
