An indulgent twist on a classic grilled cheese, featuring sweet Hawaiian rolls and gooey Monterey Jack cheese.

- 4 Hawaiian rolls
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Optional: Sliced tomatoes
- Optional: Crispy bacon
Instructions
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half, creating a pocket for the cheese.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and butter the insides of each roll.
- Place the bottom halves of the rolls in the skillet, buttered side down, and fill with shredded cheese and optional ingredients if desired.
- Press the top halves down gently and grill until the bottoms are golden brown, about 3–4 minutes.
- Flip the sandwiches carefully to grill the other side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve hot, slicing in half to enjoy the gooey center.
Notes
For a vegan version, use plant-based cheese and butter substitutes.
