Description

A delicious and creamy dish featuring jalapeno cheddar grits topped with shrimp, sausage, and salmon.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup grits
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 jalapenos, diced
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound sausage, sliced
  • 1 pound salmon, cooked and flaked
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring water to a boil and add grits, stirring occasionally.
  2. Cook grits until thickened, about 20-25 minutes.
  3. Stir in cheddar cheese and diced jalapenos until melted and combined.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add sausage, cooking until browned.
  5. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque.
  6. Fold in the cooked salmon and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve the shrimp, sausage, and salmon mixture over the jalapeno cheddar grits.

Notes

  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or fewer jalapenos.
  • For a creamier texture, add a splash of cream to the grits.
  • Can substitute shrimp with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
