Description

A vibrant Mediterranean Steak Bowl featuring juicy sirloin steak, fluffy grains, fresh vegetables, and creamy tzatziki sauce, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups cooked grains (brown rice or quinoa)
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Cucumber, diced
  • Red onion, sliced
  • Kalamata olives, pitted and halved
  • Tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak by combining olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Coat the steak thoroughly and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the tzatziki by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Refrigerate to allow flavors to meld.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Sear the marinated steak for 4–5 minutes on each side. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  4. Assemble the bowl starting with cooked grains, adding sliced steak, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and kalamata olives. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead tips include marinating the steak the night before and preparing tzatziki in advance, which lasts a week in the refrigerator.
