Description

A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese, combining melty mozzarella, zesty pepperoni, and optional veggies for a burst of flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 cup of pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup of diced bell peppers (optional)
  • 1/4 cup of sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  2. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer mozzarella, pepperoni, pizza sauce, and optional veggies.
  3. Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top before placing another bread slice on top, buttered side facing up.
  4. Heat the skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the pan.
  5. Grill for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, flip, and repeat on the other side.
  6. Serve immediately while warm and cheesy.

Notes

Customize by adding toppings like grilled chicken or sautéed mushrooms. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
