Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh cremini or button mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mushrooms by cleaning them with a damp cloth and slicing them evenly.
  2. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C).
  3. In a large bowl, combine the sliced mushrooms with olive oil, kosher salt, and black pepper. Toss gently to coat.
  4. Add minced garlic and fold the mixture without crushing the mushrooms.
  5. Grill the mushrooms in a single layer for about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and slightly charred.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider infusing your olive oil with herbs. Avoid soaking mushrooms in water; use a damp cloth for cleaning.
