Description

A delicious and hearty vegetarian dish made with mushrooms, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 500g mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add the chopped mushrooms and cook until the moisture evaporates.
  4. Stir in the spinach, breadcrumbs, walnuts, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry and place the mushroom mixture in the center.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges.
  7. Brush the top with egg wash.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
  • Can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables or spices to the filling.
