Description

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Beef Tips (Sirloin or Chuck)
  • 1 Onion, Chopped
  • 2 Cups Beef Broth
  • 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Mashed Potatoes, Rice, or Egg Noodles for Serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Sauté the chopped onion until translucent and lightly golden, about 5 minutes.
  3. Prepare the beef tips by seasoning with salt and pepper and coating lightly with flour.
  4. Sear the beef tips until browned on each side, approximately 4-5 minutes.
  5. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the browned bits from the pan.
  7. Simmer the mixture, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook for about 1 hour until the beef is fork-tender.
  8. Serve the beef tips over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles, allowing the gravy to cascade over the dish.
