- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 oz jar of tomato sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the bowtie pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the ground beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart with your spatula, until browned and fully cooked through. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Sauté garlic: Toss in minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Add tomato sauce: Pour in the tomato sauce, and season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Combine pasta and sauce: Fold the cooked bowtie pasta into the meat sauce, stirring well.
- Serve: Plate the pasta hot, finishing with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese if desired.
