Description

A delightful dish that combines cheese tortellini and fresh shrimp in a velvety lemon garlic cream sauce, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cheese Tortellini
  • 1 lb Fresh Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves Fresh Garlic, minced
  • Zest of 1 Lemon
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tortellini: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Once they float, drain them and set aside.
  2. Sauté Garlic: Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add Shrimp: Toss in the shrimp and cook, stirring gently, until they turn pink and opaque, approximately 2-3 minutes.
  4. Prepare the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and add the lemon zest, stirring to combine. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Season: Sprinkle in salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Combine Tortellini and Sauce: Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet, tossing them gently in the sauce to coat each piece thoroughly.
  7. Serve: Plate the tortellini and shrimp, then garnish with freshly chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy while hot!
