Description

Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these cheesecake egg rolls are a delightful twist on traditional dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying
  • Chocolate sauce for drizzling (optional)
  • Fresh fruit for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and sour cream in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Place an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface and add a spoonful of the cheesecake filling in the center.
  3. Fold the wrapper over the filling, tucking in the sides, and roll tightly to seal.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or skillet over medium heat and test the oil temperature.
  5. Fry the egg rolls until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm, drizzling with chocolate sauce or garnishing with fresh fruit if desired.

Notes

Prepare the cheesecake filling a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a slight twist.
