- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually stir the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the rolled oats and chocolate chips using a spatula.
- Drop rounded portions of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For a vegan option, substitute dairy butter and eggs with plant-based alternatives.
