Description

Deliciously chewy oatmeal cookies loaded with rich chocolate chips, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually stir the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the rolled oats and chocolate chips using a spatula.
  7. Drop rounded portions of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden brown.
  9. Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For a vegan option, substitute dairy butter and eggs with plant-based alternatives.
