- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until velvety and light.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is incorporated.
- Whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until fully combined.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Combine the topping sugar with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, then sprinkle over the dough.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
Ensure to properly measure flour to avoid dry bars. You can freeze leftovers for up to three months.
