Description

Crispy fried shrimp coated in panko breadcrumbs, perfect for any casual dinner or festive gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Lemon slices for serving
  • Dipping sauce of choice

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Breading Station: In a shallow bowl, season the flour with salt and pepper. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  2. Coat the Shrimp: Dip each shrimp into the seasoned flour, then the egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat the Oil: In your frying pan, heat about an inch of oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
  4. Fry the Shrimp: Add shrimp in batches to the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Drain and Serve: Use a slotted spoon to remove shrimp, placing them on paper towels. Serve immediately with lemon slices and dipping sauce.

Notes

Ensure shrimp are fully thawed and patted dry for best results. Can be baked as an alternative to frying.
