Indulge in the warmth of caramelized sugar and the crunch of roasted pecans with these delightful pralines.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine the granulated sugar, heavy cream, and unsalted butter in a medium saucepan. Stir constantly over medium heat until the mixture reaches a gentle boil.
  2. Allow it to cook without stirring for about 5 minutes, until it takes on a lovely golden hue.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped pecans, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Scoop generous spoonfuls onto wax paper or a silicone mat.
  5. Allow the pralines to cool and set before enjoying.

Notes

These pralines can be made in advance and stored for several days. Customize them by adding spices or chocolate drizzle.
