Description

Indulge in these Easy Vanilla Pecan Pralines, featuring creamy caramel and crunchy toasted pecans, perfect for any sweet occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine the sugar, heavy cream, and unsalted butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches a gentle boil.
  2. Allow the mixture to bubble and boil undisturbed for about 5 minutes, monitoring closely for the soft ball stage (235°F to 240°F).
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla extract, pecan halves, and a pinch of salt until fully mixed.
  4. Drop generous dollops of the mixture onto prepared parchment paper and let cool completely.
  5. Peel the pralines off the parchment paper and enjoy.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. For longer storage, freeze with parchment paper layers between pralines.
