Description

Indulge in these warm garlic butter cheese bombs, featuring creamy melted mozzarella wrapped in a soft, pillowy dough, perfectly seasoned with garlic and herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Allow this mixture to sit for about 5 minutes until you see bubbles forming on the surface.
  2. Prepare the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Form a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until combined, then knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Let it rise: Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and place it in a warm spot. Allow the dough to rise for approximately 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  4. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to preheat at 375°F (190°C).
  5. Shape the cheese bombs: Punch down the risen dough, divide it into pieces, flatten into circles, adding mozzarella cheese in the center before sealing.
  6. Arrange on a baking sheet: Place dough balls on a greased baking sheet, ensuring enough space for expansion.
  7. Brush with garlic butter: Mix melted butter with minced garlic and parsley, generously brushing over each dough ball.
  8. Bake: Slide into the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For a quicker method, consider using an air fryer. Adjust cooking time accordingly.
