- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter, sautéing for about a minute.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Add the chicken broth, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Shred the chicken in the crockpot using two forks.
- Serve over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes, garnished with parsley.
