A delicious sandwich melt combining the sweetness of fig jam and creamy cheese, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 2 tablespoons fig jam
- 2 ounces creamy cheese (Brie or goat cheese)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- 1 tablespoon butter (or olive oil)
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Spread fig jam on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- Layer creamy cheese and fresh thyme on the opposite side of the bread.
- Close the sandwich with jam side facing inward.
- Butter the outside of the sandwich generously.
- Grill the sandwich until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding prosciutto or a drizzle of balsamic reduction. Serve with a mixed green salad or sweet potato fries.
