Description

Juicy and spicy grilled lamb stuffed in warm pita bread, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 2 pita breads
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground lamb with onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix well until fully combined.
  2. Cut each pita in half to create pockets, being careful not to tear them.
  3. Stuff each half generously with the lamb mixture, ensuring you pack it tightly.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium heat, and brush the grates lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Grill the stuffed pitas for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Allow them to cool slightly, then garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

Marinate the lamb mixture for an hour before grilling for deeper flavors. Can be made in an air fryer or oven as an alternative.
