Description

Ingredients

  • 1 package of angel food cake mix
  • 1 package of instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of whipped cream
  • 1 can of cherry pie filling
  • Chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the angel food cake by following the package instructions, then allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
  2. Mix the vanilla pudding by whisking the pudding mix and milk until it thickens, about 2 minutes.
  3. Fold in the chilled whipped cream gently to maintain the airy texture.
  4. Layer the cake by cutting the cooled angel food cake into bite-sized pieces at the bottom of a trifle dish or serving bowl.
  5. Create layers by spooning half of the pudding over the cake pieces, then add half of the cherry pie filling.
  6. Repeat the layering process with the second layer of cake, remaining pudding mixture, and cherry pie filling.
  7. Finish with whipped cream on top and add cherries and nuts if desired.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
