Description

Delightful bite-sized puff pastries filled with tender beef and savory mushrooms, perfect for entertaining.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef tenderloin
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add mushrooms and garlic, sauté until moisture evaporates.
  3. Prepare the beef by seasoning and searing until browned on all sides, then brush with Dijon mustard.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry to ¼ inch thickness and cut into squares.
  5. Assemble the bites with mushroom mixture and beef in the center of each pastry square.
  6. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm garnished with fresh herbs or flaky sea salt.
