- 1 pound beef tenderloin
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add mushrooms and garlic, sauté until moisture evaporates.
- Prepare the beef by seasoning and searing until browned on all sides, then brush with Dijon mustard.
- Roll out the puff pastry to ¼ inch thickness and cut into squares.
- Assemble the bites with mushroom mixture and beef in the center of each pastry square.
- Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm garnished with fresh herbs or flaky sea salt.
