Description

A delicious and creamy dish that features tender steak simmered in honey BBQ sauce and served with rice in one skillet for easy clean-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound steak (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear the steak pieces until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add the rice and stir to soak up flavors.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a rolling boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Stir in honey BBQ sauce and heavy cream until well combined.
  7. Cook for an additional five minutes to allow sauce to thicken.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with green onions.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute steak with chicken or tofu. Marinate the steak in BBQ sauce overnight for extra flavor.
