Description

A luxurious cake that recreates the delightful flavors of classic s’mores, featuring rich chocolate cake, creamy marshmallow frosting, and a graham cracker crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 jar marshmallow fluff
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups toasted marshmallows
  • 2 chocolate bars, broken into segments

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and lining the bottoms with parchment paper.
  3. Make the graham cracker crust by combining graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until it resembles wet sand, then press this mixture firmly into the bottom of each pan.
  4. Mix the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions, adding eggs, water, and oil until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Beat the marshmallow fluff and softened butter together until light and fluffy, then gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla until creamy.
  7. Layer the cooled cakes, spreading a generous layer of frosting between and on top of the cakes.
  8. Decorate with toasted marshmallows and chocolate segments on top.
  9. Serve and enjoy your S’mores Layered Cake!

Notes

For best results, allow the cake to cool completely before frosting to avoid a gooey mess. It can be made a day ahead.
