Description

A delicious Steak and Cheese Quesadilla that combines savory steak, gooey cheese, and caramelized vegetables, encased in a crispy tortilla.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked steak, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet: Pour the olive oil into a heavy-duty skillet over medium heat, letting it warm up for a minute.
  2. Sauté the veggies: Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté them for about 4-5 minutes until they become tender and caramelized. Season with salt and pepper then remove them from the skillet.
  3. Lay down the first tortilla: Place one flour tortilla in the skillet, letting it warm for about a minute.
  4. Layer skillfully: On one half of the tortilla, generously spread the shredded cheese, lay down slices of steak, and the sautéed onions and peppers.
  5. Fold with love: Fold the tortilla in half, enclosing the filling carefully.
  6. Cook until golden perfection: Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, pressing down gently with the spatula.
  7. Slice and serve: Remove the quesadilla, let it rest for a minute, then slice into wedges and serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to customize with additional toppings like jalapeños or avocados. For a healthier option, consider using an air fryer.
