Description

A vibrant and flavorful steak fajita bowl with marinated flank steak, sautéed bell peppers and onions, fresh lettuce, and a creamy avocado-lime dressing.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Flank Steak
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 1 Sweet Onion
  • 4 cups Lettuce (Romaine or Butter)
  • 1 Avocado
  • 1 Lime
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak by combining olive oil, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add the flank steak and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Sear the marinated steak in a hot cast-iron skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side until a crust forms.
  3. Rest the steak for a few minutes before slicing it against the grain into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Sauté sliced bell peppers and onions in the same skillet for 5-7 minutes until tender and caramelized.
  5. Make the dressing by blending avocado, lime juice, a pinch of salt, and a splash of water until smooth.
  6. Assemble the bowl with a bed of lettuce topped with sliced steak, sautéed veggies, and drizzle with dressing.
  7. Finish with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice.

Notes

Marinate the steak ahead of time for deeper flavor. Customize with your favorite vegetables or toppings.
