Description
A vibrant and flavorful steak fajita bowl with marinated flank steak, sautéed bell peppers and onions, fresh lettuce, and a creamy avocado-lime dressing.

- 1 lb Flank Steak
- 1 Red Bell Pepper
- 1 Green Bell Pepper
- 1 Yellow Bell Pepper
- 1 Sweet Onion
- 4 cups Lettuce (Romaine or Butter)
- 1 Avocado
- 1 Lime
- 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the steak by combining olive oil, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add the flank steak and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Sear the marinated steak in a hot cast-iron skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side until a crust forms.
- Rest the steak for a few minutes before slicing it against the grain into bite-sized pieces.
- Sauté sliced bell peppers and onions in the same skillet for 5-7 minutes until tender and caramelized.
- Make the dressing by blending avocado, lime juice, a pinch of salt, and a splash of water until smooth.
- Assemble the bowl with a bed of lettuce topped with sliced steak, sautéed veggies, and drizzle with dressing.
- Finish with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice.
Notes
Marinate the steak ahead of time for deeper flavor. Customize with your favorite vegetables or toppings.
