Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • 1 can strawberry pie filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blend the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the dish.
  5. Gently spread the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling.
  6. Mix the cake mix with water or milk and melted butter until just combined.
  7. Pour the cake batter over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes until the top turns golden brown.

Notes

Make the cake mixture a day in advance for easier baking. You can use fresh strawberries instead of pie filling for a brighter flavor.
