Description

A vibrant mix of strawberries and pineapples, this refreshing salsa is perfect for summer gatherings and pairs beautifully with grilled dishes or tortilla chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strawberries, diced
  • 1 cup pineapple, diced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, minced (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the fruits thoroughly under cold water.
  2. Dice the strawberries and chop the pineapple into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced strawberries and pineapple.
  4. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the fruits.
  5. Add the chopped cilantro and minced jalapeño, if using.
  6. Gently stir the mixture without mashing the fruits.
  7. Season with salt to taste.
  8. Cover and let chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  9. Serve with tortilla chips, grilled fish, or chicken, garnished with mint leaves.

Notes

Prepare salsa a few hours in advance for enhanced flavor. Avoid over-mashing fruits and ensure fresh, ripe ingredients.
