Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups sourdough starter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup bread flour
- 3/4 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions

- Add the chopped strawberries and gently fold them into the dough.
- Let the dough rise at room temperature for 4 to 6 hours, or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the risen dough into a loaf and transfer it to a baking pan or parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Rest the shaped dough for 30 to 45 minutes, covering it lightly to prevent drying.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and hollow sounding when tapped.
- Cool the bread on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
For best results, use an active sourdough starter. You can also prepare the dough the night before for an overnight rise.
