A comforting and savory casserole made with seasoned ground beef, creamy mushroom soup, and topped with crispy tater tots.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until the meat turns brown, about 10 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Combine the cream of mushroom soup and milk in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add the cooked beef to the soup mixture, season with salt and pepper, and stir until fully combined.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer the frozen tater tots on top of the beef mixture.
- Bake for about 30 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Assemble the casserole a day in advance and refrigerate. Bake directly from the fridge, adding a few extra minutes to ensure it’s hot throughout.
